No, actually you called her a hooker, not a liar. Were you drunk when you were posting last night?

When I said:

Quote :
"Yeah, don't insult hookers like that."

...how in the hell do you get that I called her a hooker? I said, rather sarcastically, that calling that NCCU girl a hooker gives hookers a bad name, in other words, associating her as a hooker would do a discredit to hookers, because at least you know up front what type of screwing you're paying for. Duh. DUH DUH DUH.

Well that would make all women in the world hookers.

But, women, who strip in front of several people, in the media, or in public, or for money, are hookers.

My bad, WlfPk4Life, I transitioned from moop to you as if you were the same user, and we were having a continued conversation.

This is kinda funny because it illustrates the fact that I wasn't really even reading the posts last night. I was just responding to the word "hooker."

^LOL, I know.

In response to OEPII1:

Quote :
"BridgetSPK: ^Dude, you aren't even going to attempt to cover your ass?

Quote :
"OEPII1: Well that would make all women in the world hookers.

Response to bolded portion: Yeah, I wasn't seriously suggesting that all women are hookers. When I said "You're just gonna roll with..." I was pointing out how absurd the notion was.

Response to italicized portion: I disagree. The dictionary says that "hooker" is slang for "prostitute."

Quote :
"hook·er (n.)
1. One that hooks.
2. Slang. A prostitute."

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=hooker

Quote :
"pros·ti·tute (n.)
1. One who solicits and accepts payment for sex acts.
2. One who sells one's abilities, talent, or name for an unworthy purpose."

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=prostitute

So we have three interpretations:
1. You think stripping is a "sex act."
2. You think stripping serves an "unworthy purpose."
3. You have your own personal definition of hooker and/or prostitute.

1. In the case of the first interpretation, I completely disagree, as does the dictionary:

Quote :
"sex act (n.) : the act of sexual procreation between a man and a woman; the man's penis is inserted into the woman's vagina and excited until orgasm and ejaculation occur"

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=sex%20act

However, I also disagree with the dictionary's definition of "sex act."

2. In the case of the second interpretation, I think it's debatable whether or not dancing nude for the enjoyment of others serves an "unworthy purpose." I do not appreciate the dynamic where desperate, lonely men are preyed upon by strippers and club owners, but it doesn't always work that way.

3. In the case of the third interpretation, I can appreciate your personal definition. I've used the dictionary three times in this post, and I don't like using it, because things are rarely as clear-cut as the dictionary makes them out to be. However, beware of using your personal definitions--people may disagree with you. You can avoid that disagreement by using the most popular definitions of words.

I think that strippers are absolutely prostituting themselves. They are effectively selling their bodies whether or not they make physical contact with the clients or not.

I do not, however, think that prostitution is inherently wrong.
