the one mexican i knew when i lived in tampa was one of my good friends, and she was a more fair-skinned type unlike the ones you see around here.

cubans, boricuas (PR), dominicans, south americans, and a big influx of hatians as well make up most of the minorities.

Depends on where you live.

Miami = Cubans (Haitians also I guess)
NYC = Dominicans & Puerto Ricans
California, Arizona, NM, and Texas = Mexicans & Guatemalans

I think blacks make up most of the minorities. At least most of the minorities when you exclude Central America like you did.
