It really won't make that much of a difference. If you're going to replace the current memory entirely and it's only a few bucks more for the faster memory anyways, go ahead. If it's going to cost you more than 40 bucks difference, it's probably not worth it.
Also, I've had problems with generic ram not working in dell laptops before. Probably not an issue with any of the newer ones, but maybe make sure wherever you get it from has a liberal return policy. 5/12/2006 1:36:43 AM |
