Replaced my broke-ass outer door handle with a shiny new working one. It's really fucking nice to be able to get into my car from the correct side again.
Damn thing took me long enough though. Disassembling the door panel was a pain, and getting the old piece out was positively evil. There is very little room to work inside a door, even a big door like my car has. I put most of it back together in the dark. But it works! 5/16/2006 9:48:22 PM |

tried to fix my aftermarkte oil pressure gauge, blew a fuse, then got annoyed when I realized all my spare fuses are in my beater which my friend is borrowing. Then I had to go to work and just left the thing in the garage. 5/16/2006 11:28:49 PM |

I've just finished finally installing a new turbo in my '95 talon. Pretty much went smoothly. stuck in a new O2 sensor while I was at it. I went with a t-28. Waiting for a new downpipe to arrive so I stuck the old one in for now. While I was at it I cleaned up the intercooler, plugged the pcv and removed this funky plastic box that was between the turbo and the IC. running a test pipe and a K&N. Boost control is still stock except for a little restrictor hack I read about and right now stock IC pipes and exhaust (except for the cat pipe and the down pipe) also have front and rear strut braces. 5/17/2006 10:31:53 PM |

i pulled the engine out of the nsx, fully rebuilt it using custom high-performance racing parts, and reinstalled it. while it was out, i custom fabricated my own turbo system complete with a T-88 turbo and intercooler. i used a scoop from a wrx and a mr2 to catch the air for the intercooler which is mounted on top of the engine. i also had time to break in the engine and make a couple of passes at rockingham netting a best e.t. of 10.42 @ 155 mph with a 1.3 60ft. time on street tires. on the way home, i stopped at the sizzler to catch some grub before i headed to the dyno where i put down 688hp/531ft.lbs. i also raced a civic (and won) on my way to capital blvd. to hang out. fun day. btw, this thread sucks. 5/23/2006 9:16:32 AM |

rebuilt clutch pedal assembly w/ new bushings. no more side-to-side slop or squeek/groans!
swapped rear center seatbelts up front becuse the stock buckles have a huge pyro pretensioner that was smooshed against my new seat and tunnel. couldnt slide it! i then tricked the sensors by keeping the stock receptical hooked up and stuffed inside the seat bottom. muhah
shimmed the rear seat bracket to get more vertical out of the seat back.
replaced gf's Accord's main relay to hopefully fix the random no start issue.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. its like driving a new car w/o the damn clutch squeek. god that was annoying 6/30/2006 3:09:06 PM |

man, i'm ashamed to even admit this, because i kinda have a thing against paying anyone to do work on my car unless it's just something that I don't have the know-how or tools to do myself...
but there's a place here in town that does a Mobil 1 oil change, chassis lube, and car wash/vacuum interior/clean windows for $49. I happen to be due for all of the above right now, and the 5 quarts of Mobil 1 and the filter cost what, $35? The rest of that stuff is worth $15 to me, easily. plus, they have some acid cleaner or something that cleans my wheels and exhaust tips better than I can do at home.
but I did edge the driveway/sidewalk and shampoo the living room carpet today, so I wasn't totally worthless. 6/30/2006 4:54:46 PM |

I'm thinking about ordering the 16cm turbine housing for my Holset H1 turbo. Helps to start spoolup sooner. Stock is 18cm. I can get a 14 in either straight or wastegated form (the fucking wastegated housing is 450 dolla, the non is 150) but I don't want to fork out for a fucking wastegate, and I don't know if such a small housing without a wastegate is such a good idea. 7/7/2006 7:22:54 PM |
