lutra, i currently have 20. that covers 11 species. i have about 18+ more species i'm interested in. i'm also working on breeding projects for two of these species, and several tarantulas are simply growing older and therefore need to be upgraded from critter keepers to small tanks.

think of it like a multi-species aquarium of fish. people rarely enjoy a big tank full of just guppies.

besides, i know people who have hundreds of tarantulas. they just keep them in modified plastic containers to save space. i prefer to put them in tanks, so i can see them better.
