Crede, he was not booed in his second AB, in which he hit a "long" single down to left field which set the A's up for another run. On his third AB there were some facetious "boo's" and then he promptly knocked that one out of the park. 4th AB there were a few Boo's, but fans were appreciative throughout

He and the GM did not part on good terms, was on SC a couple months ago, they went at it. He is making 1M this year in Oakland, and I'm guessing the White Sox wouldn't even pay him that much, and I'm guessing he felt his service over the years was reason enough to give him that much? Does MLB have a minimum wage seniority based system like the NBA?

Well Alan Henderson of the Cavs who rides the bench and I would assume is their 12th man, makes in excess of a million, and his service in terms of years would be comrpable to Thomas's???? So I would expect Thomas is making more than MLB minimum wage simply because he left the White Sox, in other words, why would he get in a dispute and go somewhere where the pay is the same, unless the personal scars were to severe, but money usually takes care of personal scars. Also notable, Alan Houston made the second most money this year in the NBA behind Shaq.

yes, of course

arbitration is a part of it too

i have no idea how it works

thomas is making $500k this year (http://asp.usatoday.com/sports/baseball/salaries/playerdetail.aspx?lname=thomas&player=885)

i'm pretty sure the league minimum is $300k

I swear I read somewhere that he is making a million, must be with a signing bonus or something of that nature. Quite the paycut from last season though.
