my downtime is starting to suck has anyone hosted through MediaTemple? Just wondering if they are top notch?

it's nice, but fyi for shared-hosting:

php runs in safe-mode only, php 4.3.whatever, and mysql 3.x

the upgrades they claim are coming are taking forever aparently.



otherwise its pretty sweet. if you get their dedicated virtual service, its damn nice.

let me clarify - i've never used MediaTemple, i currently use Lonex.

dreamhost man... ive never had downtime, and they keep up to date with upgrades in php, mysql, ect.

Pretty easy installs too in you are in to that sort of thing... Ive never used them myself.

I can get you a discount if you need it... just let me know.

i finally did switch to MediaTemple last night, however, it appears that my DNS stuff isn't updated yet, because my domain name is pointed to the Lonex-hosted server still. They told me it'd be changed by 7AM today... perhaps it actually takes 24 hrs?
