Has anyone taken this here? how is it, and how much of it is just a refresh in topology? Thanks!

i haven't taken topology here, given i'm into applied rather than pure (i know topology has its applications), but from what i've heard it's pretty much geared for if you haven't had any before. if you have, you may able to go right to the 700 level. talk to stitz or campbell.

If Dr. Lada is teaching it then you probably could hack it without taking point set topology, but I suspect it would have many very mysterious concepts for you unless you just happen to be a topology buff. Anyway, algebraic topology is a machine, I mean once he developes the theory its not too hard to use it. Very cool course when I took it.
