So I just turned on my iPod and got this symbol
and then i went to apple's website and followed this support document

and it says to try and restore the ipod but my computer won't see the ipod. Tried resetting it and everything. Anybody have any other suggestions before I break down to get a new mp3 player

ipods sure do break a lot

I talked to the tech support guy today and he told me that usually when that happens that it means it needs to be worked on which is $30 for shipping and $250 to fix it so I'm probably just gonna end up buying a new one.
