Does this take into account that lots of college kids don't drink because they are underage? I know that doesn't stop lots of students, but it does stop some. Also, it might be a lot more believable if it were for portable MP3 players in general over just iPods.

well if they put "bar-hopping" and are expecting that to mean beer, that doesn't work.

anyone <21 won't put bar-hopping, because unless they have a fake id they won't be doing that. they wouldn't have that much trouble just drinking beer though.

if it's bar-hopping i could definitely see anyone <21 putting ipod ahead of that. if it said beer though i just don't understand giving the ipod the upper hand lol.

the survey just asked what college kids considered was "in", not what they personally ranked it... so noone really said that ipods were better than beer, just more people said that ipods were "in" than they did beer
