I have one, but I won't sell it for less than 700 bucks.

If you're just beginning check out Pearl's rhythm traveler kit. The drums are shallow and have no lower heads. They come with regular heads and mesh heads so you can keep 'em quiet while you're learning. Plus you can pick up a five-piece kit for around $350 which includes the hardware, high-hat, and a small crash. If you want a regular kit Sam Ash or Music-Go-Round (Down from the craft store at Crossroads in Cary).

thanks a lot.
Was just looking for something cheap on which I can start off and then maybe buy a better one later if I can actually start playing something.
If anyone has a used one for cheap then am willing to take it off their hands. But definitely cant afford something for 700.

try craigslist, you can prob get a decent used beginner set with sort of sucky cymbals (but good for beginners) for 200

^ Yamahas are wicked kits. Unless they're in bad shape 600-700 sounds pretty good for a 5-piece, esp if it has decent hardware.

^^Na, his are gone, I bought them.

If I was in Raleigh I'd sell you my old set. It's nothing special, just a standard 5-piece set. I'll definately be looking to sell it this fall when school starts back up, though.
