I have a chance to trade my SAS'd 93 4runner on an SAS'd 89 extra cab toyota. I've always wanted an extra-cab, but I do enjoy the room in the 4runner now that I have it. Mine: 1993 4runner SR5 (leather, sunroof etc) 150,000 V6 automatic All marlin crawler front end 5" 35" BFG's Detroit in rear 4.88s
His 1989 Extra cab 180K miles, but with 90K on the engine V6 Auto All Marlin front end 4" , 3 inch body lift 37" MTR's Detroit in rear, tru-trac in front 4.88s
I can't decide on it, any opinions?

Looks like a pretty even trade, I'd do it. Ive always liked the late 80's early 90's yoda trucks, to bad its not a stick though. 6/9/2006 12:03:39 PM |

Mine is decent for its age, it has a tear in the drivers seat, everything else is good. His, I have no idea yet. 6/9/2006 1:02:38 PM |

i depends on loyalty
i would always keep my own work before trading for someone elses... unless i did the work on theirs too. 6/9/2006 5:38:28 PM |

i say keep it.. i recently traded my rabbit for a jetta and so far i've replaced knock sensor, ground wires, wheel bearings, brake rotors, tie rod ends, ball joints, radiator, and headlights so far.. and it still needs a timing belt/tensioner and some struts.

keep the runner, doesn't seem that much different than the truck. Besides 4doors has its advantages. 6/9/2006 9:10:42 PM |
