I saw the Marlins play the Blue Jays in sky box seats. I am a fan for life now.

new yorker and thus fan of the yankees, but I'm now an official marlins fan. the stadium was awesome and having skybox seats is another level.

fyi: befriend lawyers in big firms. they get awesome perks.

welcome into the marlin fan club...you join me and rally i think as the only members.

winners of 17 of their last 23, and 7 in a row. not bad at all for a team loaded with rookies.

Yeah I was going to say, don't get used to the Florida Marlins because they are going to leave Miami.

Poor attendance for 1997 and 2003 World Series Champs is uncalled for but it really is a bad location for baseball I guess.

Are you on crack?

The stadium is aweful for baseball. The only time that place is ever filled is for the Dolphins. Nobody is going to drive out there from downtown, Coral Gables, the Grove, Miami Beach, or anywhere for that matter- for a Marlins game. I nearly cried when I saw them play the Braves because the stadium was empty. I bought a ticket for $9.00. I enjoy the games because its cheap- but there is a serious lack of fans and the stadium location blows.

its impossible to be from nyc and not be a yankees fan. the bronx stadium is a monument. 26 titles = excellence.

however, the marlins was a good game night. yeah the stadium was empty, but i think if they'd win more attendance wouldn't be a problem. also they traded all their good players off to save money.

Don't be a moron. The Mets draw 3M+ too.. There were FAR more Mets fan then Yankees in NYC before '96..

people who don't like baseball aren't going to enjoy watching from the skybox

i doubt that its much different from watching on tv

being in the stands however, is a blast

I enjoy watching the Redskins play from a sky box

but maybe that's because football isn't insanely boring

maybe you didn't read what i said

but being in the stands at any sporting event -- be it baseball, football, whatever -- is far more enjoyable for most fans than sitting in the press box, which is akin to watching the game on tv

They could at least move to Orlando, I don't see a problem in that.

.....or change their name and move to NC

ah, but look at the MLB teams, the originals at least... the names are unique and they're not anything that can be replicated. Yankees, Red/White Sox, Dodgers, Braves, Astros, Expos, Rangers, Mariners, Royals (expansion), Padres (expansion), Mets (expansion). ONly a few are not unique... Tigers, Oriols, Cardinals, etc.

If we were to do something local, I would want it to be unique and cool. Marlin is so... blah.
