well, yes, you're very observant...that said, there's a huge difference between a knife you pick up at the flea market and the kit carson

i saw the knife and nearly bought it (but it was too big for what i wanted it for)...it's in great condition

leatherman hardware is probably some of the best value knives on the market (IMO)...i'm debating the wave myself

but i been pretty happy with my flea market one using it almost daily for a year and a half or so. had to sharpen a few times but it is holding up. and the best thing i am not afraid to lose it
