Anyone here know if the Motorola Razr is capable of storing music to use as downloads or even listen to on the phone? I know I've seen it on a commercial...if so, I have the USB cord, what else do I need?

depends on which razr you got

The V3c can hold just a few songs
the V3m has expandable memory so you can hold more.
both are offered by verizon. I am pretty sure the others can't
and you would need some stupid software/or driver from verizon, but maybe there is a free alternative online. I just don't know.

I've got the V3c and it'll hold a few songs. You have to get the Motorola PhoneTools software (http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto/MPT/MPT_Home.asp)

You can buy it, or find it online somewhere.

Just keep running the "updates" option as many times as you can, I think it took me 4-5 times before it couldn't find any more updates.

You can then transfer MP3s and pictures to/from your phone. It does some funky conversion on your MP3s though to downgrade the audio quality to mono and a lower bitrate.
