it depends on a lot of things. what are you saving for? how long will this money be invested for? are you willing to actively manage it, or do you want to put it somewhere and forget about it while it grows? what tolerance do you have for risk? do you have any debt? if so, what is the interest rate on it?
$2000, by itself, isn't really enough that it's gonna matter too much, unless you're talking about a looooooong period of time. I would probably start a Roth-type IRA with it, understanding that it would be a small start towards building a retirement nest egg, and not for a house DP, etc. that can come later when you have a real job making real money. 6/28/2006 7:28:17 PM |
