my pc doesn't like any new usb drives being plugged up to it
my 256mg one works fine but if i plug in my 1gb or 40gb external, it shits itself trying to install them for some reason.

Go to device manager and uninstall your USB controller. Reboot, let it find itself and reinstall itself and see if that fixes the problem.

Possible power draw issue on the 40gb ... be damned if I know on the 1gb one. Borrow a USB powered hub and see if that fixes the problem. 6/29/2006 6:05:07 AM |
