326 = History of English Language, right?
If you take the time to write down all the damn notes (it's really not that bad; I just brought my camera along and photographed text slides—remember, no flash) and read them, it's quite easy. I recommend reading the book, because while the tests are all open book/open note, that won't help you when you're trying to answer the essay questions (which are on every test—about a page apiece, not evil or anything). You will hate yourself if you try to write down every word said.
Prof. Thomas is pretty cool, but he's a little awkward in the classroom. One of those teachers who you can tell is really smart, but can't quite get that smartness out to the students. His lectures are sensible enough, though, and he loves questions.
Since it wasn't really a req for me, though, I took it pass/fail, slacked off a lot, and wound up with a B+ in numerical grade. 7/3/2006 10:22:32 AM |
