lot of car for a relatively affordable amount of money (considering the type of car it is).

where would you get such a beast worked on?


I'm not in the market for one or anything...maybe in 10 years or so. An Elise is the next totally impracticle, ridiculous sports car on my list...prob in 2-4 years or so.

millionaire by 50? totally attainable by almost anyone with a reasonably good paying job. I have no debt except for my car, which is at 3% interest, and I can sell it for more than I paid for it 20k miles ago (not to mention far more than I owe on it). I'll be getting a 20% pay increase with my promotion in August, and another nearly as large increase in about 2 more years with my next promotion. Even at my current rate of investment, even if I only get the market average as a return, I'm on pace to have a little over $1,000,000 by age 50, not even counting the worth I'll accumulate in house/property and other stuff that I buy. Plus, I'm thinking about buying a house pretty much everywhere I get stationed (depending on the real estate markets at those places at those times), then turning them over to property managers to rent them out...and that doesn't even count that I'll be able to invest a little more all along as my pay keeps increasing.


buying an Elise? dude...they're only 40k. you can get one with almost no miles for mid-to-high 30s...in a couple of years when I get ready to get one, I'm sure I'll be able to get one for 30k, which will be no big deal on a yearly salary of over double that by then.

affording those 3 things is easy, plus a motorcycle and a jet ski.


working a 1/4 or 1/3 share of an airplane into the mix is what I don't know if I'll be able to swing or not (actually, that's not true either...i just don't know if I'll be able to afford a share in the airplane that I want).




regardless, this thread is not about me buying a Noble. that would be ridiculous. I just am kinda fascinated at how much ass the cars kicks for what it costs, and wondered if any of you know anyone who has one, or have ever seen one up close, or maybe even driven one (or at least ridden in it).

million bucks is nothing. in 25 years (when you are 50 or so) that million bucks will be eaten by the typical 3% inflation rate. you might have 500k. to retire and live at your current lifestyle you need 3-4 million bucks.

A buddy of mine from S2Ki that lives up here got to drive one in some sort of public event down at Road Atlanta. He didn't get to drive it on the track, but they took it on a bunch of back roads near there. He's been obsessed with them ever since, said they are absolutely insane. Apparently my friend had it up over 120 on some back roads and the sales rep with him was about to explode. It's a pretty funny story to hear him tell.

He said it handles like a dream, and this is coming from a guy with an S2000 with aftermarket suspension, so he's used to pretty damn good handling. He wants something in this range one day, either an Ariel Atom or the Noble. He's a doctor too, so it's not just some B.S. dream.

I happen to see a noble m12 in European Performance about a year ago... Not sure if anyone else remembers seeing it there. Was prolly in the show room for about month or two before someone snatched it up, as I don't recall seeing it there for long.
