So I built this... because my cats needed something to climb instead of my lamps and TV. They are quite happy with it but it needs some carpet to finish it off. Anyone have any carpet scraps or a roll of shaggy carpet they don't need? Check out the pictures below

I wouldn't use carpet actually. Most of them are made with that but it makes them think that its okay for them to tear the shit out of carpet and if the rest of your house has any, they will tear the shit out of that two unless you have them declawed. But if you don't I would just use old blankets or something like that. You can probably find some at the thrift store for really cheap. Thats what we used and they love it.

I have a cat, who I'd love to see DIE, because she's pissed all over my new house, has a scratching post/gym that I built a few years ago before she did all the pissing. She did scratch on the carpet all over the house until I built this thing and covered it with carpet. For a few weeks when we saw her scratch on the floor we would put her on the cat gym and she eventually got it. So I guess their trainable like that. Now if she could be trained to use her litter box and trained to clean up her own piss we'd be on better terms.

Check out new neighborhoods where they throw out scrap carpet or call a carpet installation place for any left over 2 ft wide sections they might can give you. If you call a place that sells carpet they will only be interested in selling you carpet.
