Uhh...most cards with a secondary output have a DVI-I port, on which the little + connector to the side of the pin block carries a normal RGB signal. Why not just buy a graphics card? (Said cards are also generally bundled with DVI-I -> VGA adapters.) 7/3/2006 3:00:11 PM |

ati's have an svideo output that you can use to goto vga, via an adapter tip. at least my ATI 9800 Pro does. the tip is close to what a headfone adapter looks like, size wise, and cost like....5 bucks. or dvi to vga is poss too, me thinks. 7/3/2006 6:16:12 PM |

You can get this guy
XFX AGP GeForce 6200 (nv44a) 128MB for $35 - $5 rebate = $30

I looked it up to verify that it's got a DVI-I port, not DVI-D, but I'm not sure if it comes with the necessary adapter to go DVI->VGA. I also noted that this was $3 cheaper a couple days ago so it's not like a killer deal or anything. 7/4/2006 4:23:31 AM |
