All rumors and trades abound here.

Who do you want your team to get/get rid of/etc

Deals so far:

Peja is now a New Orleans Hornet
Vladimir Radmanovic is a Laker
Tim Thomas is a Clipper
Raptors dealt Charlie Villanueva to the Bucks for TJ Ford

and the Pistons have reportedly offered less to Ben Wallace than Chicago did, while Chi might be lookin to deal Tyson Chandler.

I love offseasons

yeah the Hornets will most likely make the playoffs next year, hell they got close this year

Chris Paul (as much as we as NCSU fans might hate him for what he did to Jules) is an absolutely badass basketball player

^true but look at felton's numbers after the break

I'm not saying he'll be as good as paul, but I think he'll be close, and certainly better than Deron Williams

I think if he plays 35-40 mins a night as PG with knight either traded or playing limited minutes, then raymond's stats will be right up there with paul's

Now that they both have to rely on a white scorer with no D and with bad facial hair, I don't know how I like either's chances to make the playoffs at this point

I say they turn around and trade Speedy for Darius Miles

Bulls were already a playoff team without Big Ben. With him, they'll make some serious noise in the playoffs.

Ben Wallace isnt THAT good anymore... he was a liability in the Cleveland series... his numbers have dropped off like crazy the past few years and he is way too much of a non-factor on offense to offset any drop in production.

Hope they get a post scorer in exchange for Tyson Chandler

I've been hearing too much talk about Kobe and Wade practicing this summer on Wade's defense. Also, Odom will be trying to convince Wade to come to the lakers in a couple years when he is a free agent.

wth?

and the Bucks just traded TJ Ford for Villanueva

and apparently changed their team colors, no more purple

that Ford trade was 3-4 days ago....

they needed another big, Joe Smith was killing them and they dont want Maagloire back... Charlie Bell and Williams played well at PG last year so Ford was expendable...

rookie contracts are easy to come to agreement on in the NBA because the salary structure is rigid.

Marquis Daniels to the Pacers for Austin Croshere

I liked marquis, but he was holdin up funds for someone that didnt play much at all behind stackhouse and howard (who really came into his own this year, loved seeing that happen)

Plus Croshere only has one year left on his contract, and since van horn might be bouncin out we get a player or comparible production for less money and more cap space later on.

Derek Fisher to the Jazz for Brown, Keith McLeod, and Andre Owens

dont really care much about this one, hahah. but fisher should help deron williams develop his game, cause he was barely a blip on the radar last year

in Deron's defense not even John Stockton played well under Jerry Sloan as a rookie...

Deron caught a lot of flack last year, mostly just because he wasn't Chris Paul.

One of my friends is a devout Jazz fan and he swears he's still happy with Deron.... Chris Paul wouldn't produce the same numbers in Utah's system as he did in a run & gun offense in NOK.

He also swears up and down that Deron owned CPIII when they played heads up...

Just from what I have seen, CPIII is much better... but I dont really notice anything the Jazz do...

But like I said in another thread, I love all the trading and now lets see AI and KG move on out

Im guessing the Bulls arent going to go for KG anymore like many originally said...

Keep on trading I like seeing the people and places change

yeah im really hoping iverson goes to the celtics... it makes sense, they've got plenty of youth they could trade back...

seeing two of my favorite players in the league in the same backcourt (iverson and delonte)... and then Paul Pierce at SF? That team would score at will.

^ Um, they played the Bulls tough twice in the finals... and those Bulls teams were some of the greatest NBA teams ever assembled... they've been floundering the last couple of seasons b/c they couldnt find good guards and Kirilenko and Boozer can't seem to stay healthy...

I just want to see those guys somewhere different

AI in green, KG in something else

but the Celtics are putting the parts together, but is the Coach going to do well with them?

and as far as the Eastern conference goes, dont forget about Orlando

Bobcats are still a year away, and they will wait im sure to make their big free agent move, probably trade May and Ely... i dont really know

I keep seeing this.....there is no way it is or should ever happen.

The team is pretty damn solid as it is right now, and having KG's contract would just put a large financial burden on the team. I like the acquistion of J.R. Smith though. It's nice he's got 2 years left, so the Bulls can evaluate him good. PJ Brown will help a little bit too, and that expiring contract after this coming season will be wonderful.

Now if the Knicks can bomb again so we can swap picks with them for 2007....

yeah I mean that was the rumor before they made all their moves for Wallace, Brown, Smith, and Thomas

so I doubt they need his contract on their cap now

and there is no doubt of the Knicks failure coming this year

it will be truely great to watch again

^^ actually the plan was to sign Ben Wallace then trade Thomas, Deng, and a first rounder for Garnett...

Minnesota probably should have just done the deal and hoped for the best with Tyrus Thomas... I'm not sure if they coulda maintained the option to swap with the knicks...

Garnett is running out of time, he's got to leave Minnesota next year

On the Chandler to Hornets for PJ Brown and JR Smith trade. I think the Hornets got tired of having guys with initials for first names on their team. Actually PJ Brown outproduced Chandler, but of course he's old as dog shit and JR Smith fell out of favor with Hornet management.

Chandler can still be a dominant defensive player, he just didn't have his head in the game this past season after signing that big deal and not working out for most of the summer (worried about getting hurt before the guaranteed money kicked in)...

Chandler was just expendable because you can't really play him alongside of Ben Wallace and expect your backcourt to score 100 points by themselves...

PJ Brown posts solid numbers and more importantly his contract expires at the end of the year...

JR Smith sucks, i don't see him getting any playoff minutes behind Heinrich, Gordon, and Duhon...

Apparently Grundy is now on the Mavs summer league:

Quote :
"Nuggets 113, Mavericks 85: In the win for Denver, Casey Jacobsen shot 7-of-8 for 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Kelena Azubuike went 6-of-8 for 18 points and 3 steals. Josh Davis shot 6-of-13 for 15 points and 2 rebounds. Ron Slay had 10 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. In the loss for Dallas, Maurice Ager shot 5-of-12 for 17 points, no rebounds or assists, and four turnovers. Anthony Grundy went 5-of-7 for 16 points and 4 steals. Larry O'Bannon and Pops Mensah-Bonsu each scored 10 points. Pavel Podkolzin had 6 points with 8 rebounds"

Terms of the contract were not immediately available, but the deal is not guaranteed. It does allow Williams, a point guard, to try out for the Nets during training camp. He is considered a bit of a longshot to make the team."
