Their contract with MLB states how many games they can broadcast during the year and on what days and times those broadcasts will occur. They cant just arbitrarily pick a game and just broadcast it. And if they decide to renegotiate their contract when it comes up to carry more games, guess whos cable bill goes up? Paintball, dominoes, etc, is probably cheap as hell....they might even be paying ESPN for airtime, plus it brings in a completely different audience for ESPN to advertise to and bring into the "usual" ESPN audience.7/8/2006 12:59:53 PM |
