Looking for a device to connect my 700m laptop to a television without a S-Video input. I've heard that in a lot of cases, it just shows up as black and white. Was looking at these on eBay - anyone have any experience with them ?http://cgi.ebay.com/070TVD-TV-Out-Adaptor-Cable-for-Dell-Notebooks_W0QQitemZ110005757732QQihZ001QQcategoryZ51151QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001QNLVS/sr=8-9/qid=1152472895/ref=pd_bbs_9/104-6798037-9682366?ie=UTF8http://cgi.ebay.com/Dell-S-video-to-RCA-composite-TV-out-video-adapter_W0QQitemZ120005306005QQihZ002QQcategoryZ51151QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Thx for your response. Was this the convertor you bought from Best Buy ?http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7150254&type=product&id=1110264501109Do you know if it has any circuitry inside ? How many pins does the S-video jack have ?I saw this on Amazon and someone seems to have been able to make it work with the 700m too.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002KR7G8/sr=8-1/qid=1152579757/ref=sr_1_1/104-6798037-9682366?ie=UTF8

i had actually gotten some kind of box thing that converted it. i would plug the s-video into the box and then would use an rca cable from the other side of the box to the tv. but those converter adapters should work i would think.
