I actually made this exact thread 3 years ago, but my answer was different than it is now.


Back then I was kind of a mess and I knew it, so I said no. I did get into dating situations despite the fact that I knew I was a mess. They, of course, ended disastrously.

I've taken the past few years and haven't really dated. I've gotten to know about myself, and life. I definitely feel like I'd be an awesome mate to someone now, it's just a matter of finding the right person.

on the other hand... i would not be friends with myself. i tend to get along best with people who are very different from me. i'm a good friend and a good person but i dont like to compete with people and i'd compete with myself if i were friends with myself

at the same time-- i do not like to compete with my boyfriend so i tend to choose guys who have very different interests from my own. sure we have things in common but when it comes to being good at something-- we have our own stuff

I would date myself because I know I value skills that build lasting relationships such as communication, respect, and the ability to love. I also would like my sarcasm and sense of humor and wit because I enjoy that in others. All clean and no weird habits so those wouldn't deter my relationship with myself.
