My LCD screen in my laptop has went out for the 2nd time now. I don't know how to describe it but the light seems to burn out and everything goes black, but I can hold a light on my screen and I can barely see it. Does anyone know somewhere or someone in Raleigh who can fix this for cheaper than the $698 that HP is offering to fix it? Thanks! 7/21/2006 10:01:38 AM |

Sounds like the backlight in your screen burnt out. For nearly 700 dollars you can pick up a nice used laptop. 7/21/2006 10:06:03 AM |

Intrex will replace it, might cost ya though. Pretty easy to do but in the wrong hands it could be a royal pain in the ass. 7/21/2006 1:56:47 PM |

similiar problem, it starts with the pixels messing up on graphics ect. wrong color, blurry, etc. then the screen might start to blink off, might come back after a while but normally just stays black

Warp computers on capital can usually replace inverter boards, backlights, etc. Diagnostics is $45 if you want to get it looked at there. 8/5/2006 7:08:31 PM |
