There's just something special about the fans, the atmosphere, the idea that something big is going to happen, the reality that you may not make it home alive after the game. The problem: too many times, the OB is half full -- which is a shame considering the success of the program."

thats some bs right there. Miami (from what i've heard" deserves to be above only wake and duke on this list

(this may be old, but i hadn't seen it before)

Am I really skewing this, or are they saying that knowing you may get shot after the game makes it a better place to watch a game?

This guy is a fucking dumbass. I think everyone will agree at Florida State belongs at the top, along with VT in my opinion. But we definetly deserve to be ahead of UNC and GT. And he rags on us for not keeping it full but those two schools couldn't fill either of their stadiums with combined attendance.

Haven't we have one of the highest consistent capacities (percentage wise) in the nation over the last few years?

^Yes we have which proves this guy doesn't know what he is talking about.

We almost always have a fan in every seat and it gets pretty loud in there in some games.

I've been to Kenan, and there is NO WAY that it should be rated higher than Carter-Finley. Not only do we have nicer seats and facilities, but the atmosphere is MUCH better. I mean the fans don't even stand-up even if they are winning or make a great play.

http://www.ncaa.org/stats/football/attendance/index.html

Avg Attendace last year: Approx: 53,000

That's a full house if I remember correctly (before adding the other endzone seats)

on another note...
the last game vs. maryland probably killed our average attendance
the student section was pretty empty because everyone was at home due to Thanksgiving break

^^^ actually that's not the one that really hurt us. it was the Middle Tennessee game, b/c it wasn't part of the season ticket package. i think the attendance for that game was like 37k. the Maryland game was nearly all full besides the student section. it's all good, the real student fans made the sacrifice and came down a day early (no offense to the real fans that just couldn't make it workout though). we definitely didn't have the bandwagon fucks there.
