Yall should see the Avery County Museum. They have a room dedicated to Burleson. He is from Newland. If you ever go there, you will see why Tommy doesn't go back.

Actually, that was the summer right after I graduated and before I began a soul-crushing career that continues to this day. I took the last free summer of my life (before retirement) off to play church league softball.
