I'm looking to print 6+ panoramic prints, most likely from this site. However, is there somewhere on campus I can do it for faster and for less on campus or in town?

Yep, hit up the DML in the 2nd floor of DH Hill. I used to work there (hooked quagmire up w/ a large format scanner ftw!)
99% of the time they'll only have glossy paper, but trust me, it looks a million times better than the regular. $8/linear foot is cheap as dirt (a TON cheaper than Kinko's for real) and it looks really great. The maximum width of that printer is about 40", but you can print down the roll as long as you like at only $8/foot down the roll.
They're open even during summer session from like 8am-9pm weekdays and a bit tighter hours on the weekend.

Sweet, I knew there was a printer in design school a while back, but its moved around a lot. This way at least I can get 5 copies on one 48" long print. Cutting them will be the motherB, but that's another task. 8/1/2006 8:32:09 AM |

I'd recommend ezprints. It's one of the only places I've found that will print panoramic prints without just cropping big ass plots.
For instance, a 12x76" print from them is 30 bucks. Even in the DML, it will cost you more and you will have to crop the thing (which is a nightmare)
BTW, using plain paper on the Plotters is only 80c per linear foot, I dont know where you got 5 bucks from. 8/1/2006 11:07:28 AM |
