This is a gaming computer my friend is putting together. I haven't been on the market for a new PC in years, so I didn't have much advice to give him. If you have any suggestions or alternatives, please post them or send me a pm with your reasons.

there's no point in going socket 939 anymore other than if they're much cheaper than socket AM2. 939 will be phased out soon so I would try to go AM2 if you can. 8/7/2006 2:38:27 PM |

tell your friend to wait for Intel's Core 2 Duo's to come out. They're gonna have the most amount of processing power for a comparable price to current cpus on the market. Either that or still wait and FX cpus will drop in price when the Intel's come out.
