How old is the laptop? Most, if not all, newer laptops come with integrated wireless tranceivers. Judging from your awareness, it could very well be already present in your laptop. 8/13/2006 8:27:23 PM |

Word of warning on any sort of "free" internet ... don't expect high quality service. I went with free wireless my apartment complex provided for a month and I wanted to shoot whichever !@#$ing neighbors who left their P2P apps running all of the time. 8/13/2006 9:18:13 PM |

Kensington Park had those issues in the beginning. Then they simply shut out people using a lot of bandwidth within a time limit, and made them relogin. That helped a lot with speeds.
My roommate apparently couldn't stay online for more than a few minutes due to this. 8/13/2006 9:20:15 PM |

Well right now I have a desktop pc.
And thanks to everyone for all the information.
Also, does the wireless router convert the cable internet into wireless internet or vice-versa?
Again thanks. 8/16/2006 12:34:15 AM |
