i gotta tell you, I have been very happy with the Banfield at Pets Mart at Crossroads. If you have a puppy, they do have a very reasonable 1st year plan that includes everything....I have taken both of my dogs there and have never had a problem.

petsmart?

run like hell.

ansede animal hospital at tryon and wilmington st, while not exactly in the 'avent ferry road area', is EXCELLENT. on the cheaper side, too.

as a vet tech, i'm going to have to say i've never been that impressed with any of the Banfield/PetsMart vets/techs/service...most of the people who are coming to our vet from there have said they didn't like it.

The best way to find a good vet is to ask your neighbors where they take their pets to.

P.S. - After you've already got a puppy is not the best time to find a vet, you should probably scout vets and figure out how much they're gonna cost you before you actually get the dog...just a caution for the future.

the closest vet to avent ferry is boulevard animal hospital, but I recommend Mayfair in Cary, but they aren't the cheapest you'll find

you can't read. i'd worry about being ripped off in other areas, first.

I like Dr. Fenton at Boulevard Animal Hospital but I REALLY LIKE DR. MONCE AT PETSOUND!!!! He is the best and their prices are very reasonable.

Dr. Fenton does not work at boulevard anymore, she works with me at Swift Creek Animal Hospital in Cary

What type of services do you need? If I were you to get all the puppy shots, go to the farm supply store off Hillsborough/chapel Hill rd. Much cheaper that way and they work just as well. Or go to http://www.carolinamobilespay.com they do everything cheaper than anyone, just have to drive out to them. They do quality work though, I've have 4 animals spayed there and 3 got all their shots there too. I hope this helps

Oberlin Animal Hostpital gets a lot of great 'press' but i dunno. They do ok, but i feel like im getting ass raped for every stupid little thing. They also like to perform optional tests thats cost $70+ before giving me the option...

And they just spayed my dog and she peed blood for 3 days She's fine though now.

So i dunno, they seem nice enough, but if i was starting over i might look elsewhere.
