I got this grey tabby kitten out of an animal control trap this morning, it was going to be taken to a high kill shelter. It had been in the cage all night with no water. This little kitty was absolutely crying....How could anyone ignore it?? I can't keep him/her (can't tell yet).

It looks to be about 4-6 weeks old, and is very thin. I have looked and haven't found any fleas or ear mites, though a bath is definitely in order. It's not feral, after it realized i wasn't going to hurt it, the kitty rubbed all over my hands and cries when i get out of eyesight. Please someone give this sweet scared little cat a chance!! Pics are in my gallery (kitten 1 & 2)

looks like this one's old enough to be eating solid food - if I had to guess, I'd say 8-10 weeks old?

it's definitely not that old. Actually, it isn't far past being weaned. She tries to nurse the fabric folds on my legs....I've tried giving her the kitten food I feed my kitten, and she doesn't seem to understand that it's food. I'm going to get some wet food in a little while to see if she'll go for it. She looks bigger in the pictures because she's stretched out, but when she sits up she fits in one hand. Please help, i can't afford another kitten

this is probably going to sound stupid since it is still a kitten, but i'll ask any how. Does it seem to be litter box trained?

It hasn't used the bathroom yet, so i cant' tell about the litter box. I just got it to start eating-wet food, can't seem to eat the hard food yet. I have a person who's told me that she and her husband may be able to help somehow, but hasn't gotten back to me yet. I can't keep it past friday, not sure what i'm gonna do if no one comes through

I called a vet to see if they could take her into their orphanage and I am waiting to hear back from them. I had thought that I would ask my husband if we could take her and try to adopt her out but before I talked to him, I remembered that I am getting a ~80lb aussie friday that can be rough with cats and i don't want to traumatize a little kitty. so sunshine if you can help please do.
