I am taking ECE402 this Fall with Hughes and I was wondering if any one can tell me if that class is going to be an easy class ? Thanks

did you think ece301 was easy? if the answer to that is yes...then the class could be fairly easy to you. if the answer was no...then i don't think you'll find it very easy.i think i got the same grade in 301 and 402...but my 402 grade required less work. so i guess 402 is easier. and hughes is a great prof.

OK. Thanks. But Does it require alot of matlab experiance and code writing!!!

not really. its kinda confusing...there were some "projects" but you never turned them in and the really served no purpose as far as i could tell. but they are all matlab. so if you do that, then the answer would be yes.however, as far as homeworks go...i think there was probably 1 matlab question out of 6 questions on a homework set, if any. and there were about 8 homeworks, and i 6 of them had a matlab question.so no, matlab experience is not crucial...but could be helpful to get some easy points on homeworks.

actually, his section was matlab intensive. he tests you on matlab. and yes, you do turn in the projects. they're built into the ends of the homework.hughes is a great prof. VERY receptive to students.

This was one of my favorite classes (and I had Hughes as well).

^^^hmm...well i'm basing my opinion on the amount of matlab in the course based on the amount i did...which was very little.i forgot that he put some matlab on the tests...but it was like 10 out of 100 points and you could get 6 of those points for just writing down some stuff that looked like code. and i usually just wrote down some matlab solutions from the HWs on my crib sheet and copied a script off there for the exam.
