I hope so, as long as they keep things the way the are. Part of the appeal of this show to me is the fact that things have stayed pretty much the same.

They were able to replace Rod Roddy without much change, hopefully they can do the same with Bob Barker. Although, it won't be The Price is Right without Bob.

no the fuck they didn't. rich sucks, and doesn't have near the enthusiasm that rod did, and I don't think that TPiR will be nearly as popular with the current audience once Bob passes. He is one of the main reasons I watch the show. After he passes, they'll have to bring on a new host and try to make him as likeable as Bob was, and start all over with a new generation of viewers

In my defense, the show I saw yesterday was probably the first one I've seen since Rod passed. Plus, I was doing other things when it was on, so I guess I wasn't paying that much attention, but it still took me a little while to realize that there was even a different announcer.

But I do think you're right about it not being as popular with a new host...I just seriously hope they don't try to change the format or make it more modern

Rich does OK on certain things like describing the products and stuff, but lacks the spirit and enthusiasm that Rod did when saying things like "Come on down!," "A new car!!!," etc.

That game looks impossible. I don't think I'd want the tax liability of winning and owning three cars either.

We need to work on this 'Drinko' idea. Something to the effect of everyone puts in a beer to the pot to start, and then you either win beers out of the pot or lose beers and have to put more into the pot based on where your chip lands?

And of course a spot or two for having to shotgun / funnel a beer or two. Any other suggestions?

well you would need to have some kind of guessing game to determine how many crushed beer cans you get to drop down the board, maybe like:

you automatically have the one chip (beer can), then there are three shots lined up, you have to take the shot and correctly identify what it is to have the chance to win additional beer cans, then you drop them down the board and the slots like said before are like


{1 beer} {2 beers} {0 beers} {-1 beers} {5 beers} {beer bong} {-1 beer} {0 beers} {2 beers} {1 beer}

different levels per cup,

I thought of this game more as a forced drinking game than winning beers. I guess there will be two different versions.

In mine people drop their chips/cans and it ends up in slots for forcing the drinking of different things like

{1/4 beer}{0 beer}{1/2 beer}{1 beer}{Double Shot Liquor}{1 beer}{1/2 beer}{0 beer}{1/4 beer}

But that kinda eliminates the whole winning more drinko chips/cans aspect...unless you get them for losing and have to drink more.
