Hey,

Im getting a bike and some gear, but the stuff i have picked out is almost all flat black am i asking for problems with being visible?

Yes, you'll be less visible with black gear.

However, if you rely on other people seeing you, no matter how visible you may be, you'll regret it. The only safe way to ride a motorcycle is to assume nobody can see you. I've seen people pull out in front of brightly colored BMW touring bikes with the rider wearing all orange gear.

It's best to try to get a helmet and jacket that aren't black, but boots/gloves/pants are almost always going to be black.

get what you like. i have a bright blue bike and chrome wheels and people still dont see me. there is always some who is gonna not pay attention

Loud pipes don't do shit...unless you're worried about getting rear ended. Harley people are idiots for the most part. Throwing sound behind you at 60 mph ain't gunna do shit when Aunt Bea pulls out in front of you.
