Although I do love me some Agassi, its hard to overlook what Sampras did as far as wins, but if you factor in wins, media, fan interest, and over all badassness(yes that is a word). Agassi wins hands down. And if he can somehow pull of this win like Sampras did in his last tourney(grandslam), then he is the best ever in my book overall.

I mean what the fuck, nobody competes in Tennis like Agassi did. When is the last time somone actually competed for 20 years year in and year out in this sport?

Like I said, Pete won more, but Agassi was relevant longer. Sure Sampras could have too if he kept on, but Agassi did, and thats why we are talking about him, not Pete. Hell, ask anyone now to name a male tennis player, and odds are, no matter their age, they will name Agassi..

I believe I saw today that Andre has the most top-10 finishes in the final end of year rankings with 16.

16 fucking years he has been a top-10 player.

Some of the greats now can't even stay in the top 10 for more than one year like Safin, Hewitt, soon to be Roddick.

graf was in it for 17 years and was freaking amazing.
navratilova first turned pro in 1973 and competed in singles for the following 21 years. she then came back around 2000, mostly playing doubles. she won some doubles titles.

but yeah, if you're just talking about men, not many can match the longetivity and versatility of agassi.
