I think I'll wait until they add support for a few more games before I get a 360. So, for those in the know. How does it work? When they do these updates are they automatically included in units coming off the assembly line or would I have to have an X-Box Live account?

I don't even have broadband ATM, so X-Box Live is out. It would just be nice to know if there was a way to get updates to the 360 w/o a Live account. I remember demo discs that would come out from time to time for the original X-Box that would have auto loading updates. It would be nice if there was a website or something that had cd images that could be burned and used to update a 360. 8/29/2006 1:53:31 PM |

one of my buddies didnt have internet but his MLB 2K6 was screwing up and he figured he needed an update...brought his HDD over to my place, plugged it into my 360 with internet, signed him up for a free Silver account, downloaded the updates, rosters, etc...a possibility 8/29/2006 1:55:52 PM |

they'll send you a CD if you request it from MS. it is in the manual or online somewhere, just do a small search and you'll find it. 8/29/2006 3:53:32 PM |

I would think having xbox live would be a requirement for the 360. If not you are missing out BIGTIME. 8/29/2006 5:04:10 PM |

yeah, id say broadband is more important than hdtv in that respect.
i mean, i dont even play many games online, but the demo downloads, movie trailers, arcade, etc are great.
