Yeah, umm... I'm not sure if its worth ebaying. The mobo in my HP Pavilion ZE 4500 laptop died. I've hacked it to pieces.

I've got:

Keyboard [PN: 317443-001] ($8)
14.1" display *(1) ($30)
CPU Cooler [PN: 319456-001] ($5)
8x DVD-ROM drive ($5)


*(1) think the backlight may have shorted out or something but it displays an image. comes with the working inverter (I sold one just like it on ebay for $40 about a year ago)



You can have any other part of it you want if the price is right (I'm not getting rid of the HD until I get my stuff off it). You can buy the whole thing from me if you want for $50 obo. As far as I know it just needs a new mother board and the display might need to be repaired.

The battery holds about a half-hour of charge. Probably not worth much.

I need some stuff off the HD for next thursday's homework though. I've got a 2GB USB key to copy it to, but I don't have a 2.5" enclosure. If you can help me get my stuff off it you can have it for $50. Also, it's currently in like 40 pieces. I know how to reassemble it though, but it's worthless without a new mobo, so it'll need to come apart anyway.

you realize you can call HP and renew the warranty on any of their products for $100, mail it in, and the odds are they'll give you an upgrade if the shits old and parts are scarce.
