i just got 2 offers from walmart: brand new decent dvds are $9.50, and less popular, brand new movies for $5.50.

I think $900 is a bit much for a laptop with these specs. Someone could go buy a more powerful, and brand new, MacBook, with an educational discount, for only maybe $100 more. If someone's offering you $900 for this on Craigslist, you should take it.

why would anyone buy that for 1000 when they could spend 100 more and get a far better macbook

(like someone said a few posts up)

i don't doubt it could happen, but it's entirely unreasonable

i would post a link to an ebay auction, but that would mean i care.

do you honestly think i pulled $900 out of my ass? no i went to ebay, searched for powerbooks with my specs if not similar and then took that price and subtracted $100

I love the attempted threadshittings. 900 bucks is a decent price in ebay terms.

yes, i do have (now more than 2) offers from craigslist for $900...however a tww offered $800 for a local pickup which i'd rather do then the hassle of shipping.
