anyone on here willing to give it a try? I have had one offer and hopefully hear from him soon, if so I'll take his offer.

looking in the mean time for someone to do it quick, need some stuff off it by thursday

They big question is: Is you r drive physically broken. If the answer is yes, you're going to have to spend an a$$load to get any data back. Otherwise, if the drive is still functional and recognized in the BIOS, software based data recovery is possible. Your data can be rescued by someone who is computer literate for little to no cost. That being said, if software based recovery is possible, I'm sure someone around here will take a shot at it for a transaction involving beer and/or cash and/or sexual favors. YMMV

answer darkone's question first - if the drive is physically busted (not powering on at all), i seriously doubt anyone on here is going to be able to help you and you're going to pay out the nose for recovery

if it IS getting power (even if it's clicking), i will recover it for $35...if i can't recover anything, then you don't pay anything

i've done this for a number of tdubbers...if you want references, let me know
