Because students on this site along with the fans and alums that go to the games are always bitching about Amato never getting the job done. If members of the fan base always complain and boo Amato at home, then the media is going to run with it.

What I'm trying to say is, stop with all the negativity and support Chuck. Sure, after today, it's going to be hard for some. However, we still have plenty of season left. Whether you, the reader, want to take that as a good or bad thing, that's up to you.

you make it sound like 90% of the fan base is on here or some other message board spouting off about him.

it is just a small percentage that you hear, most of the time it is just hte same people over and over.

the media hardly ever sides with the ncsu fanbase, every time ive seen discussion after a loss they rip the fanbase for not supporting the [FB, BB, volleyball (lol)] coach

^^exactly. i'm not saying that we should blindly support him, but you don't go airing your dirty laundry in public. keep things in house and be good fans. like this idiot in front of me at the game today started booing Stone in the first half, but started going nuts in the second when we were doing good. booing is not going to help Stone any. also we have recruits at these games. i personally wouldn't go play for a school where i'm going to get booed by the hometeam fans. i personally wanted to punch the guy in the back of the head for being a douche. bitch afterwards but don't boo the team unless they just did the most moronic thing ever. even though we are taking this game badly, how do you think those players that played hard felt after the game. it looked at one point when we went up 10-7 that we were going to take the game over. oh well.

^yes but that small percentage is a good sample size of the ncsu fanbase.

your right, it doesn't

The offense seemed to do decent after they got some confidence, and boing doesn't help get that. Hopefully they can take the postitives from this game and place a complete game next week. But I'm not holding my breath for it since I don't htink I have seen a complete game but once since I have been here.

Screw the fan base and getting booed. If I was a recruit at the game I wouldn't come after getting beat by Akron...

also noticed how much airtime nc state and chuck amato got yesterday. he got one of those 5 minute spots on gameday final, and they also talked about him all throughout the show. nc state got a good bit of attention on sportscenter too, and during various other football games. we were talked about more than troy st vs. fsu.

it gave me the impression that we have a pretty good impression, as a program, in the media. i mean, everyone was so damn shocked that we lost, and were talkinga bout us as if we are a really good program. our profile is pretty good.

all publicity is good publicity, i guess.
