internal HDDs are cheaper, and I like this one.

To make it an external hdd, do I just have to buy a case with these dimensions?

You just need a 3.5" drive enclosure. You can pick them up at Intrex for about $30 or Tigerdirect for about $20. They should come with all of the cables you need.

all you need is an enclosure, but I would sugest the venus line.
