so my graphing calculator just froze and died. It will not turn on at all. I replaced the batteries and it still won't turn on. It was showing lines across the screen and acting wierd before this happened. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what went wrong before I go spend $100 on a new one.

and no, i didn't drop it. It is 5 years old though.

Have you replaced the back up battery inside it? It's the round silver one.
