$26, the hot can of PBR I just found rolling around in my truck, and I get to lay a big steaming turd on the hood of your truck.

Yeah, but Craftsman and Benchtop are two entirely different tool lines. At least they used to be.

Benchtop = Taiwan

Craftsman = KD Tools = USA (or Japan)

i wouldnt take those or craftsmans if someone paid me too, my well being is worth more than that, i have never had a snap-on break, but i go through craftsman tools like toilet paper, i keep them in the truck for emergency and road use cause i dont care if i lose them, hell everytime i have used that set in the last 3 weeks i still have wounds healing, including the chunk missing out of my thumb from sunday

you just don't know the powwweeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr of the 1/4" snap on ratchet, i was using a 19mm wrech for leverage on that bitch and broke a 3/8" bolt, ratchet is still fine

^Quality 1/4" stuff is GOLD when you work on imports. That said, I've shredded a Matco 1/4" drive 12mm wiggle.

But seriously, I've gotten some of the Taiwan stuff that's held up better than Craftsman (you're paying for the name, not necessarily superior quality/design).

But I've never used tools that fit as well as Mac/Snap-On/Matco/Cornhole...er...Cornwell. Or for that matter, Proto/Blackhawk (and sometimes, but not always, Stanley; they're all three the same company, just different levels), SK/Facom/KD.

It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, high school football, hunting and fishing . It's being hospitable, being devoted to screened porches, Pig Pickin's, and each other. Southern By The Grace of God

One day someone will walk into your life, and you will know why it never worked out with any one else

Way back up in the country,
back in the hills
Down in the hollows where
the folks are real.
Livin’ with the crazies
and the old wildcats,
Sawed off shotguns
and coonskin caps.
That’s where I’m from
and I’m proud to say,
I’m from the country and
I like it that way...

Just to set the record straight, KMart bought Sears, thus killing another great American Corporation. Craftsman isn't what it used to be. I had a tap wrench that went bad, they told me they don't sell it any more, so they gave me what they last sold it for. $15, new one was $20.

I have broken more craftsman than I can shake a stick at...they have even lately gone as low as to attempt to exchange the broken one for a returned one.

Assholes.

except that sears was not a great american corp.

the only thing that kept them in business was their financing revenue
