^^ It's good, though I found the ending completely inappropriate for the way the novel was shaping up. It's touching in some parts, bleak in others: I liked it better than his other novels, mostly because it wasn't a Western.

It weirds me out that Oprah chose it for her book club.

^It's fucking amazing, so long as you can get used to his writing style, of course: the punctuation is sparse and the dialogue is likewise all crammed together.

But it's so good: I mean, what would happen if the entire world suddenly went blind?

Just finished The Road by Cormac McCarthy.

A little less mind-blowing than I'd expected (okay, A LOT less mind-blowing), but it was still really good, and I was so into it that I read it in about two or three sittings. I've been so busy lately it's been hard to make time to read, so it was nice to have something I could knock out in a couple of days.
