How do I get my computer back to to the way it was the day I bought it. Its not working correctly and I'd really like to change that. What do I do?

A lot of laptops these days dont come with restore discs and have the recovery software on the harddrive.
For ibm thinkpads, its called "rescue and recovery'.

Few options:

1) Get the original CDs that came with your laptop. Call the phone number and have the tech walk you through it.
2) Learn to format + reinstall Windows. It's a good learning experience and will help you troubleshoot computers when you are in a professional job (rather than being completely reliant on an IT person).
3) Fix the actual problem with the computer. Starting from scratch isn't going to work every time.

Elaborate on the problem and we might be able to troubleshoot.
