oregon player touched it before 10 yds, and the refs called the receiving team somehow touched it first

^that the ball was tipped so pass interference would be negated

ahahaa wow oklahoma just got "nc state'd"

the kickoff was legit

the ball was in the air ON the 10 yard distance line when the guy touched it, its not where his BODY was but where his hands touched it

the tip though, yea...he def. tipped the pass, so no interf. call should have been made

hell of a game

GO DUCKS!

yea seriously, i give him 9 yds at best, it really wasnt close, and the fact that the refs came back after the review to say the receiving team (oklahoma) touched it first, then it just got shady

Yeah, no way that kick went 10 yards before the Oregon guy touched it. I just watched the slo mo replay frame by frame and it's clear he wasn't there yet. not his body, not his hands, and not the ball. 3 horrible calls in the last minute of the game GAVE this win to Oregon.

OU President David Boren wrote a letter to the Big 12 head of officials making demands that the game between OU and Oregon be wiped from the books due to officiating miscues.
http://www.newsok.com/article/2849598

Won't do shit though.

Here is a better video of the fact that not only did the Oregon player touch it early but that they never recovered it.

From the link:

Quote :
"
Boren asked that the Big 12 take five actions:

Seek an apology from the Pac 10.

Ask the Pac 10 to suspend the officials responsible for the rest of the season.

Ask the Pac 10 to change a rule in which only their officials are used in non-conference home games.

Remove the game from the record books.

Review with other conferences how replay is used during games.

Boren asked that the Big 12 "vigorously demand that our teams be treated fairly when participating in non-conference games."

"

The PAC 10 has already "apologized" as much as they can w/o drawing criticism from their own schools. I think that the officials should definately be suspended for the rest of the season. Punishment should be severe enough to deter reoccurance, and I think a year off would send a message.

The thing that is most disturbing is this rule from the PAC 10 that only their officials can be used in nonconference games. I guess I knew that, but it's a crazy rule. Third party officiating. Get with the program.

Anybody else think this is an "ask for more, settle for less situation" to a t least get a few of his points? Seems like a longer suspension and third party officiating would be a given following this fiasco.

Im pretty certain that the request to remove the game from the record books will be denied, but can you imagine the precendent that would set if that happened? Someone would be crying "Bullshit!" every other week and demanding the game not count.

If you can't win, and later you find that you were cheated by one or two calls.... MAN UP AND MOVE ON!

Right now Oklahoma really is looking like a sore loser.

Imagine if this loss costs OU a spot in a BCS bowl. Say OU only loses to Texas the rest of the season and should have finished with just one loss. Depending on how other things shake out, especially in the SEC, OU could lose a BCS bid and the Big 12 could lose millions because of it.

What's the line that we always hear? "We should have never been in the position to let the refs make that call."

What a bunch of crying bitches. NC State got screwed over vs. Akron, and we didn't demand that the game be stricken from the records. It's just because they're "OKLAHOMA" where football is king and they can do no wrong. I'm sorry fellas that you got some blown calls, but SOONER or later you're going to have to realize that you shouldn't have been in that position. You let Oregon hang around, and let them close enough to where this call (right or wrong) cost you the game.

Their defense should have held Oregon to fewer points and yards. I'm sorry.... Bitching now doesn't take away the loss.

No game should be stricken from the books. No sympathy from true NC State fans should go to Oklahoma.... We've been screwed over by referees more times in more sports than anyone can count. Football, basketball, baseball...you name it. We've got the market on refball cornered. Oklahoma can go home and ball up and cry for the rest of the year, and I won't care. Come talk to me when you get points taken off the board WITHOUT THE REPLAY SYSTEM. It's not like an Oklahoma State grad is in charge of their officials, is it? We have a UNC grad as the commisioner, a UNC grad as the coordinator of officials, and who knows how many other ACC officials are UNC grads. Want to talk about deck stacked against you...we've got it.

So Sooner fans need to man up and stop their bitchin'!

the difference was.........video replay PROVED that the ball was touched by the kicking team before 10 yards. in our case, against akron......a team we should beat the fuck out of.....video evidence proved nothing. yeah, there was a still picture that came out a couple of days later showing he wasnt in, but watch that fucking video and tell me thats conclusive evidence. quit whining about the god damn akron game for fucks sake. in OKs case, there was conclusive evidence, OK obviously recovered the ball in the first place, and nothing was done.
