Yesterday and today they've been air clips of mike wallace's 'interview', saying clin-ton got worked up and angry. I dont think clin-ton will be on faux news for a while.

clin-ton was the best president of all time. about 10% of our population believes this.

Quote :
"Only Abraham Lincoln (chosen by 15%) and John F. Kennedy (13%) finished ahead of Clinton (11%) in the April poll, which asked Americans who was "the greatest" president."

I'm glad to see he was able to answer the accusations infront of the audience accusing him.

But instead of listening to his rebuttal, it's "omg he's so angry lol!"

I just read a radio tower nearby in Chapel Hill and saw it was 1360 am, gave it a listen, and it makes NPR look right of center. They were talking about how Clinton shouldn't be a topic of discussion at all while a bill is on the verge of being passed that would pardon the president for terror related law breaking b/c everyone who was discussing it on the national level was only discussing the CIA pardoning aspect. And it only went left from there..

i cant wait to see these clips of him acting a fool.

also, while many of you claim im all over loving Bush, really the only thing I love about him is how he's taken the fight to the terrorists and made the US safer than it was before. We are stronger militarily now than we were. I also appreciate his stances on moral issues. He is mediocre on most else.

The best modern president was EASILY Reagan. We need him on some money!

Reagan (and Cheney, Rumsfeld, etc) got us into the mess we're in now. These attrocities that we suposedly deposed Saddam for happened during Reagan's watch. Reagan is to blame for Iraq and to some extent, Islamic Terrorism.

I could just as easily blame Nixon, Ford, Carter, or Bush I.

You're viewing their actions and the events of the time in the context of the current conflict with islamic terrorists and middle eastern despots, not in the context of the struggle against communism that existed at the time. I'm not saying that they didn't play a role in setting the stage, but to wave your finger at them like you're doing is rather myopic.

Two questions: (1) If the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are causing certain allegedly peace-loving peoples around the world to hate us, why was the United States of America attacked on September 11, 2001, which was prior to the beginning of these wars? And (2) if Clinton was SO goddamned smart and his policies SO loved by these allegedly peace-loving peoples, why did the first World Trade Center attack happen on his watch?

Either

1. they used a time machine

2. nobody said people didnt used to hate/attack us---bush just made the problem 3x worse

i realize this is a highly sophisticated response and you couldnt have been expected to forsee this counter argument. now go die.

no one is trying tp pin this all on clinton, and if you werent such a typical lefty who would go to the death defending Clintons legacy you would see this.
the truth is, people have been trying to blame the whole thing on GWB since 9-11...which is complete and utter bullcrap. libs are just pissed because its coming to light and they are being forced to admit that Clinton had as much responsibility for blowing it on UBL as everyone else did.

no one is saying Bush didnt screw up....but dont be a pryderi-esq moron and try to claim that Clinton is 100% not at fault

Not even Clinton is making this claim. If you can't aruge against what someone is actually saying, it's bad form to try to argue the ridiculous thing you wish they'd say instead.

Clinton probably shouldn't have kept referring to the Clarke book since it didn't really support his claim that he couldn't convince the military to go after osama after the Cole bombing. This is from Byron York:

Quote :
"Clinton did not give up in the sense of an executive who gives an order and then moves on to other things, thinking the order is being carried out when in fact it is being ignored. Instead, Clinton knew at the time that his top military and intelligence officials were dragging their feet on going after bin Laden and al Qaeda. He gave up rather than use his authority to force them into action.

Examples are all over Clarke’s book. On page 223, Clarke describes a meeting, in late 2000, of the National Security Council “principals” — among them, the heads of the CIA, the FBI, the Attorney General, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the secretaries of State, Defense. It was just after al Qaeda’s attack on the USS Cole. But neither the FBI nor the CIA would say that al Qaeda was behind the bombing, and there was little support for a retaliatory strike. Clarke quotes Mike Sheehan, a State Department official, saying in frustration, “What’s it going to take, Dick? Who the shit do they think attacked the Cole, fuckin’ Martians? The Pentagon brass won’t let Delta go get bin Laden. Hell they won’t even let the Air Force carpet bomb the place. Does al Qaeda have to attack the Pentagon to get their attention?”"
