http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/09/25/virginia.senate.ap/index.html
Quote :
"Sen. George Allen on Monday denounced as "ludicrously false" claims from a former college football teammate that he frequently used a racial slur to refer to African-Americans.

Dr. Ken Shelton, now a radiologist in Hendersonville, North Carolina, also alleges that Allen, a former University of Virginia quarterback, once stuffed the severed head of a deer into a black household's oversized mail box.
"

Quote :
"That deal with the deer head better be something better than him being a racist. Was it a professor, or something like that?
Otherwise, he's out for '08[quote]Shelton said Allen asked the other teammate where black families lived in the area, then stuffed a female deer's head into the mail box of one of the homes."

In NC, I believe it was 96-97% of blacks that voted Democrat in the last election?

This could be one of those "McCain (or was it Dean?) has an illegitimate black daughter" things.

Where is it that Rove is now...?

In regards to Allens Macaca comment, did Hillary Clinton receive as much press in 2004 when she said that Mahatma Gandhi "ran a gas station down in Saint Louis"?

That was less of a question and more of a statement about bias. But it doesn't change the fact that you were trying to shift the attention from Allen to hillary

no, its an honest question.

i was reading about hillary clinton today and vaguely remember it happening, yet don't remember the coverage enough to compare it to the fallout over senator allens remark.

do you want to make a serious response or are you just going to continue with "OMG REPUBLICAN!"

I don't remember that comment from Hillary, but on its face, it's not as bad as the Macacca thing, and in context, it's also not as bad: http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/01/06/elec04.s.mo.farmer.clinton.ap/

what purpose did you have for placing it in this thread other than to say, "look democrats do it too."

I still question your motives. Why else would you bring up something from 2 years ago and place it in a thread calling out Allen for his racism?

Your explanation does seem half-assed.

If it really was an honest question, you could have Googled it, and would have determined that by comparison, it's not as bad as what Allen said. Or at least posted a more in-depth question than what basically amount to "hey, look at what this Democrat did!"

i did google it.

i was mostly looking for anecdotal evidence of media coverage, which is difficult to gauge via a google search.

why so offensive?

i asked an honest question and you immediately attacked it as "the classic republican response of "but but but the democrats""

No. Hillary did not receive as much attention when she made that comment. Anyone who is honest would say her comment was much more offensive than the one that Allen made. The problem is that busting on Hillary is contrary to the media's agenda while busting on Allen is not.
